As Biden and Harris leave office (and we’re heaving a huge sigh of relief), we can seize upon this opportunity to take stock and assess their record. Both claimed to support democracy—even taking the requisite oaths to protect our constitutional republic’s Constitution—but promoted some of the most anti-democratic policies in U.S. history. Here’s an accounting of their legacy.
An open border. In violation of U.S. immigration laws, Biden and Harris propped the U.S. border wide open, allowing millions of illegal immigrants a year to enter. The U.S. Border patrol recorded more than two million illegal migrant encounters in 2023.
Student loan forgiveness. The Supreme Court ruled that Biden and Harris’ student loan forgiveness programs were unconstitutional. Biden and Harris disobeyed the Supreme Court ruling, continuing to violate the law of the land anyway. Both acted as if they were above the law.
Lawfare. Most Americans are aware that the federal government and left-wing state prosecutors supported by Biden and Harris conducted lawfare against Donald Trump in an attempt to remove him as a political candidate. The efforts of Biden and Harris backfired, resulting in Trump winning the 2024 presidential election. Additionally, on Biden and Harris’ watch, the Department of Homeland Security began treating parents who spoke up about their concerns at school board meetings as if they were domestic terrorists.
Censorship. Early in their administration, Biden and Harris created the Disinformation Governance Board. After many complaints and lawsuits, it was rescinded. The Biden-Harris administration then went on to collude with social media companies to censor and ban conservative voices and anyone who questioned left-wing orthodoxy.
Absence of transparency. The Biden-Harris administration concealed Biden’s increasing cognitive impairment. The administration’s appalling lack of accountability was seen in many other areas, including the executive branch’s intentional spread of critical race theory and critical gender theory throughout the federal government—once again, without the public’s knowledge.
Unequal law enforcement. The U.S. Constitution guarantees Americans equal protection of the laws, yet Biden and Harris violated the 14th Amendment. A good example is the severe punishments given to January 6 protestors. This was in stark contrast to the nearly total lack of consequences for the BLM protestors who committed arson, property damage and assault in the summer of 2020, even disrupting legislative meetings in some state capitol buildings.
COVID lockdowns and mandates. Despite a dearth of scientific evidence about the efficacy of vaccines and lockdowns, the Biden and Harris administration forced Draconian measures on the American public for as long as they possibly could. They continued some of the measures even after declaring the U.S. was back to normal.
Inflation. Massive government spending under Biden and Harris led to the highest inflation in over 40 years. Their spending included a $1.9 trillion COVID relief plan, a $1 trillion infrastructure law and the misnamed $1.2 trillion Inflation Reduction Act, among others.
Control of the energy sector. Biden and Harris’ policies aimed at reducing oil and natural gas production have made energy much more expensive and in short supply in the U.S. Despite government propaganda, solar and wind power are not adequate to meet even a small fraction of the energy needs of the public.
Emission control mandates. The federal government under Biden and Harris took over the automobile industry, instituting strict emission controls. This forced U.S. manufacturers to make electric vehicles despite low demand. Inevitably, when few Americans bought the EVs, the automobile industry suffered massive losses. Car prices skyrocketed and availability tanked as a result.
Spread of ideology. Biden and Harris became puppets of the Marxist left. They spread Marxist ideologies such as critical race theory and critical gender theory throughout the federal government and military. These ideologies seek to destroy freedom, free enterprise, and the founding principles of the U.S.
Strong pro-union stance. Biden will be known as the most pro-union president ever in U.S. history. Most recently, the Biden administration blocked the acquisition of U.S. Steel by Nippon Steel at the urging of organized labor. The Marxist leadership present in many U.S. labor unions—as discussed in the 2026 article Marxism in America—does not have U.S. interests in mind. Quite the opposite. Yet, Biden and Harris have continued to acquiesce to big labor throughout their term.
Weak foreign relations. A botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the attack on Israel by terrorist proxies of Iran all occurred on the watch of Biden and Harris. Their administration’s preferred approach, appeasement, has a long record of failing when dealing with foreign adversaries and totalitarian governments.
We could go on. Please leave a comment if you would like to point out additional examples of Biden and Harris’ anti-American policies.
The voters certainly expressed their displeasure with the Biden-Harris administration when they reelected Donald Trump by a landslide.
Simply put, the worst and most incompetent regime in modern US history. One should not call them an administration. They administered nothing, acting as a dictatorship cabal without a mentally competent leader. Good riddance to them and their oligarchy.. The FJB regime will be judged by history as an aberration and live in infamy. The only US regime whose policies were designed to harm their own citizens in favor of despots, dictators, corrupt partners and criminals. The cherry on top was the regime supporting or winking at Jew hatred in education and throughout the country. It was permission for the new flavor of Nazism.
