Many if not most of the founders believed in God, hence the reference to their "Creator". God did indeed endow us with rights and freedoms, however these rights and freedoms were to be used to do the Good. How do we know what the Good is? Merely by reading or listening to The Word of God who is Jesus Christ. He tells us very explicitly what the Good is. Unfortunately we have not listened well. We prefer to do what we wish for our own gain and pleasure. As a result the world and yes, our nation is in the pitiful state it is in. We are hanging on by a thread. There is so much division and hatred for our fellow man that we know no better than to lash out against one another individually or in the form of War among nations. Until we fully accept Christ as our King and indeed King of the Universe, there is little hope no matter what the government, the media or any other talking head tells you. I earnestly pray that before I die we WILL listen to Our Creator and direct our lives to the Good as He desires. " O God come to our assistance, O Lord make haste to help us."
