The Story of America
White House lecture series
Next year the United States will be 250 years old. We will celebrate our country’s anniversary on July 4, 2026. On that date it will have been 250 years since the Second Continental Congress of the thirteen American colonies announced it had declared independence from England. Our founding fathers proclaimed this on July 4, 1776, when they published the U.S. Declaration of Independence, the founding document of the United States.
The White House has commissioned Hillsdale College to create a video series to “help all Americans remember, understand and celebrate this unprecedented milestone.”
The series is aptly named “The Story of America.” It’s divided into several parts, which are available on YouTube. Some of the titles from the series include:
An Introduction
The Shot Heard Round the World
The Formation of the Army
The Battle of Bunker Hill
The Declaration of Independence
John Adams
It’s anticipated the series will continue to expand. The series is published as a public service and you can view it at no charge.
You can watch one of the installments, “The Declaration of Independence,” with a duration of 11 minutes, here:

Now is a good time to brush up on our American History as the United States’ Semiquincentennial—or Quarter Millennial—approaches. We will be celebrating 250 years of independence from the many tyrants in the world who would rule over us. The more Americans who understand the full meaning of what we’re celebrating the better. Please share this video series with your family and friends.

Unfortunately, we have succumbed to the "tyranny" of our own passions, slaves to the material of the world and completely tossed aside the spiritual, ignored the Love of Jesus Christ for us and His desire that we all go to Heaven. We instead think of ourselves as gods and therefore believe that we can do anything we wish. This has brought us to the point now of seemingly endless wars, total disrespect for our fellowman, a disconnection of the sexual act from marriage and the family, what has been called the "contraceptive mentality". This mentality has inevitably brought us to committing the mass slaughter of innocents in the horrific sin of abortion. Our country did have at least some connection to God at its founding, but that has been lost long ago. It is actually a miracle our country has lasted this long, but maybe that is because the Lord God is giving us one last opportunity to return to Him and establish the social Kingship of Christ. I pray we heed the words of Our Lord and take advantage of His Mercy.
