Facts About Kamala Harris
What Americans need to know
Who is the real Kamala Harris? Is she “joy” as she floats like a bubble without ever saying anything of substance? Could it be, as her campaign managers would like us to believe, that she is really “normal” and a moderate? Or, as others have suggested, is she on the radical far left? Just what are the policy positions of Kamala Harris that she has, so far, largely managed to keep under wraps?
Fortunately, Kamala Harris has an extensive track record that we can examine. She has made policy decisions as a prosecutor, attorney general, senator, former presidential candidate and vice president. What does her record show?
As a District Attorney in San Francisco
She was opposed to capital punishment and had a poor relationship with city police.
As an Attorney general of California
Harris sued numerous oil and gas companies and proposed a ban on fracking.
As a U.S. Senator from California
Harris had the reputation as being the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate, even more so than Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
She co-sponsored Bernie Sanders’ bill, The Medicare for All Act of 2017, which aimed to abolish private health insurance and provide socialized medicine for everyone, including illegal immigrants, at taxpayer expense. Fortunately, it did not pass.
She co-sponsored a resolution calling for the Green New Deal.
She opposed funding for the border wall, more border patrol agents and increased ICE personnel and detention beds.
As a U.S. Presidential Candidate, 2020 Election
Harris again promoted a ban on fracking.
She again proposed eliminating private health insurance.
She planned to provide welfare benefits for illegal immigrants.
She supported forcing Americans to sell certain firearms to the government.
She funded and supported bail for BML rioters, looters and arsonists.
She promoted equity, the current discrimination against some groups of people using the past discrimination of other groups of people as an excuse.
While running for U.S. President in 2019, Harris did not uphold her oath of office to support the First Amendment. She said the federal government must censor speech and make one set of rules for what people are allowed to say on social media. James Freeman, writing for the Wall Street Journal, reported that Kamala Harris told CNN at that time that she supported censorship of then-President Trump. In the words of Kamala Harris:
He has lost his privileges and it should be taken down. And the bottom line is that you can’t say that you have one rule for Facebook and you have a different rule for Twitter. The same rule has to apply, which is that there has to be a responsibility that is placed on these social media sites to understand their power. They are directly speaking to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight or regulation, and that has to stop.
As U.S. Vice President
Harris was the first and last whisper in Joe Biden’s ear before his major decisions. She played a role in the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Ukraine-Russia War and Israel-Hamas wars, and was complicit in the coverup of his mental incapacity.
She failed spectacularly at the one important job for which she was given full responsibility: solving the open border problem.
She cast the tie-breaking vote in the US Senate 33 times in the last 3.5 years. Her tie-breaking votes resulted in the Inflation Reduction Act, the 2021 COVID subsidy checks, and other massive spending bills that caused inflation and worsening of the federal deficit.
She promoted the spread of critical race theory throughout the government, military, schools and other institutions.
She supports left-wing plans to restructure the U.S. Supreme Court. This plan includes term limits and imposing “ethics” rules made by the executive branch, a clear constitutional violation of the balance of powers.
She has supported the U.S. Justice Department’s use of lawfare against political opponents, parents and law-abiding citizens.
She has stated she favors higher taxes and would consider a tax on unrealized capital gains. Her proposed tax credits for children and small businesses are tax expenditures in economic terms; they will worsen inflation by increasing government spending. Harris’ inflationary tax credits are a tax that hits poor and middle-class Americans the hardest.
She continues to support most left-wing priorities, including ending the filibuster, abolishing the Electoral College, disregarding many of the provisions in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, taking over the states’ power to make voting laws, and granting D.C. statehood to create two more Democratic Senate seats.
The real Kamala Harris
The facts tell the story. Harris has a track record of incompetence, and her political agenda identifies her as a Marxist. She and her anti-American policies are the opposite of what the U.S. needs at this time.
Kamala Harris is said to be sphinx-like. She does not like to divulge information about herself or her policy positions. Fortunately, with a little digging, it’s easy to get the facts about Harris’ political record.
May I suggest two additions?
First, she has never started or run a business or any other activity at any time in her life. That is likely because she has never had an original idea, which may explain in part why she cannot answer simple questions without resort to a very short list of canned responses. She is simply put not very bright.
