Leftist elitists have been ignoring the silent majority of Americans for too long. This has resulted in the 2024 election becoming largely about the great divide between leftist elitists and ordinary Americans. A previous issue of 2026 discussed the goals of leftist elitists. Candidates running for office who listen to the concerns of the large majority of Americans have the best chances of succeeding in 2024.
What are their concerns? A wide range of Americans across the political spectrum yearn for policies that solve the many threats facing our nation. According to recent polls, here are the issues that have the support of 70 to 90 percent of Americans.1
Securing the borders and stopping illegal immigration: 74%
Hiring more border patrol agents and requiring employers to use E-Verify: >70%
Requiring asylum seekers to enter the U.S. legally and prove they are at risk of persecution: >70%
Stopping all illegal immigrants from voting in federal, state or local elections: 77%
Ensuring transparency for health care costs: 95%
Returning universities to their educational role. The institutions should teach students to think for themselves and help to prepare them for future jobs, not e them to become social activists: 88%
Improving the transparency of U.S. universities about foreign gifts and contracts: 75%
A parental bill of rights: Parents have the right to know what their children are being taught in school: >80%
Funding Social Security and Medicare with a strong and growing economy is preferable to higher taxes: 70%
Abortion should be legal: 77%
Passing support for women in difficult situations facing unplanned pregnancies would be more effective than passing stricter abortion laws at reducing the number of abortions in the U.S.: 84%
Deporting non-citizens who publicly support terrorist groups such as Hamas and the killing of Jews: 66%
Inflation is one of the most important issues for the 2024 election: 60%
The number of adult Americans with rising household expenses: 67% (compared to the number with rising income: 25%)
In addition, 74% of voters believe this country is on the wrong track, 62% of voters disapprove of the job Biden is doing as president, and 40% of Americans do not feel safe from escalating crime even within one mile of their homes.
These are all important issues the majority of Americans agree on. Focusing on the issues that concern most Americans—and rejecting the dictates of leftist elitists and woke Marxist extremists (often one and the same)— can help candidates win the coming 2024 elections.2 You can help by encouraging candidates you support to run on some of these campaign issues. Gingrich, Newt. March to the Majority. Hachette Book Group, 2023.
In Gingrich's recent book "March to the Majority", he explicitly states how important it is for Republicans to focus on issues that have 70%+ support among the American people, given the attrition that will be suffered when put through the hostile media mill. The info in this article highlights some of these issues. Hic Rhodus, hic salta!
I agree with many of the issues on the provided list. However I vehemently disagree with the idea that we as a nation should support abortion. This support for abortion is completely contradictory to the words of Jesus Christ when he affirms the two greatest commandments " Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength AND love your neighbor as yourself." Who is our neighbor if not the most innocent and defenseless among us, the pre-born? We are called to place our own passions and desires aside for the good of the other, the good being their right to live well so that some day they may become citizens of Heaven. However if the country has almost completely rejected God because we believe ourselves to be our own God you get rationalizations like "the right to choose".
